The Tronex 5212T is a Tapered Head, T-Type Hard Wire Cutter with a Flush cut and Standard (short) handles. This cutter is constructed from Carbon Steel with Tungsten Carbide material silver brazed into the cutter's jaw. The dual material construction combines the high yield strength of carbon steel with the intense localized hardness of Tungsten Carbide. Both cut edges feature a hardness of 79-81 HRC, ideal for fine hard wire such as Nitinol and Stainless Steel. The "T" Cutters can cut thicker and harder wire than Tronex "W" Cutters, therefore, the handles and jaws of Class T Cutters are overall tougher than the Class W Cutters. The 5212T Cutters offer a (Steel Wire) cut capacity of 0.008" - 0.020" (32-24 AWG).
