The American Beauty Tools 10505 is an ESD-Safe, Ultra High-Capacity Pliers Style Resistance Soldering System. The 10505 uses the Selectively Variable Resistance Soldering Power Unit (105C1) to provide 1,800 watts (6.9v AC) of power with twenty-three (23) unique Settings (WARNING ~ Do Not Switch Power Settings While Under Load) and the system provides the intense power required to overcome difficult Heat Sink applications. This power unit uses a " 3/8" Ring-Terminal & Wingnut" Connection Type. The 10505 Resistance Pliers System is ideal (but not limited to) the following applications... Soldering thin wall Copper Pipe (Up to 1-1/2" Dia.), Soldering large lug terminations onto custom Cable Assemblies, Soldering terminations into large, close-nested Military Connectors, brazing thin wall Copper Tubing (Up to 3/8"), Brazing Copper Wire Connections, Soldering Blocks of 0.007" Laminations on Heat-Treat Coils, Repairing Aircraft Propellers, Brazing Aircraft Component Parts during overhauls and Soldering Military Avionic Components.

The 10505 System also includes the Heavy-Duty Pliers Handpiece (10587). The Pliers offer an Ergonomic handle for improved grip for the operator. The 10587 Pliers feature the ability to turn the soldering adapters to a 90° Angle, providing access to even more locations. The Pliers are constructed with a quadrupled level of heat baffling, helping to ensure a comfortable user experience. The Heavy-Duty Pliers Handpiece uses the Concave Carbon Block Electrodes (10565) - Sold Separately. The Carbon Block Electrodes generate intense, localized heat and can be easily customized to specific applications. The 10505 System also permits hands-free activation of power via the included High-Wattage Footswitch (10519HW). The use of a footswitch vastly improves control of the applications and virtually eliminates the sparking that is common with other resistance-based systems. The 10505 Heavy-Duty Pliers Style Resistance Soldering System is compatible with the optional High-Capacity Resistance Precision Timer Module (105HCPTM) - Sold Separately. The Precision Timer Module controls the power of the application down to the 100th of a second, ensures the tightest process control possible, while the multi-function timer takes operator error completely out of the picture.
