CVC Series "Connection Validation" Cartridges
The CVC Series Tip Cartridges are compatible with the Connection Validation (CV) Technology, which evaluates the quality of a solder joint by calculating the intermetallic compound formulation and provides closed-loop feedback instantly to the operator. The solder joint validation is signified via the LED light ring integrated into the hand-piece. Illuminating "Green" when a proper joint occurs and "Red" when a joint is unsatisfactory. Eliminating the risk associated with the variables involved in soldering applications and removes the success/failure determination of a good solder joint out of the hands of the operator. This helps complement the operators skills for judging the quality of a solder joint by introducing an objective method of evaluating solder joint quality. This process also provides a systemic and objective approach for repeatability as well as a measurable standard to the soldering process. These tips are also constructed using SmartHeat® Technology, which senses the specific thermal demand directly at the solder pad. Delivering the precise quantity and flow of thermal energy during both flux activation and intermetallic bonding phases without any adjustment or calibration.
The CVC Series Tip Cartridges are designed for use with the CV Series Solder Systems, using the CV-H1-AV "Advanced" Hand-Piece. The CVC Series Cartridges are available in your choice of three (3) different tip geometries, Bevel, Chisel and Conical. These tips are also available in three (3) standard temperature ranges, 700, 800 and 900°F, indicated in the first (1st) digit of the part number (CVC-7BV3018P).
*Other Temperature Ranges Available Upon Request (603-437-4651).
7 = 700°F - This temperature range is ideal for most general production soldering applications. This range provides a maximum temperature of 775°F (412°C).
8 = 800°F - This temperature range is ideal for soldering/rework of components that require a high thermal demand. This range provides a maximum temperature of 905°F (485°C).
9 = 900°F - This temperature range is ideal for the highest mass and most thermal demanding applications. This range provides a maximum temperature of 950°F (510°C).
