Description

The Desco 1727- is an ESD-Safe, Non-Marring Foot Grounder. This heel grounder converts Non-ESD Footwear that will provide a path-to-ground and will not generate a charge. The 1727- Grounders feature a unique design, which requires no fastening system. These grounders are constructed from Neoprene Rubber with No Exposed Carbon and contact points on both the foot's sole and heel area. The neoprene rubber is a flexible material that stretches over most shoes for a quick and easy installation and the charge generation is generally lower than conventional heel straps due to the continuous path-to-ground throughout walking motion. The material is also non-marring on both the wearer's shoes and the floors they are worn on, reducing maintenance cost of touching up on floors. The 1727- Grounders offers a Tab to Cup Resistance of 1 x 10(6) to < 1 x 10(9) ohms at 100 volts [Meeting the ANSI/ESD S20.20 Required Test Limit per ESD SP9.2 & ESD TR53 Standards]. Each Grounder is equipped with a One Megohm Series Resistor to protect the operator from an accidental contact with equipment line voltage. All 1727- Foot Grounders are UL Listed and independently reviewed for adequacy of the products design, as well as being Date Coded, providing lot traceability to ensure quality control and tracking information.
