Description

The 8160 is an 80 Series Oval Head Micro Beveled Cutter. This cutter is designed for precision cuts every time. The 8160 is constructed from 1% Carbon-Chrome, which is Ball Bearing Grade Steel. This material provides incredible impact resistance and resiliency with smoother, cleaner penetration at the cutting edge. The 1% Carbon-Chrome provides a 63-65 hardness rating on the Rockwell Chart. The 8160 is constructed with a precision screw joint, the adjustment screw minimizes friction and maximizes alignment of the cutting edges. Due to the long life of the 80 Series Cutters, replacement springs are available and help to reduce the down time in between cuts. The springs leaf-action allows for a comfortable feel when in the hand.
