Safety in the Workplace

Posted by on 7/18/2018

Safety is a paramount concern for business and employees alike. Workplace injuries interrupt both the lives of the injured as well as productivity. If severe enough, they can prevent the employee from working, and possibly keep them from living their lives outside of work. The good news is, lots of potential hazards and injuries are easily avoidable. Here at Waveroom Plus, we offer safety equipment ranging from fireproof cabinets, gloves, and even signage. We want your employees to feel comfortable in their workspace, and be aware of the hazards around them.

Personal Protective Equipment

Personal protective equipment, or PPE, are tools used for personal protection. Using things like gloves and masks when necessary minimize your chance of injury or illness while completing the project at hand. These things have a dual purpose, however. In addition to protecting you from your project, they also keep your project safe from you. This is beneficial because it will keep dust particles and other things out of critical parts.

Knowledge is Power

If no one knows a hazard exists, itís much more likely to become an issue. Even janitors put up warnings when the floor has been recently cleaned. For example, we offer signage that notifies the readers about electrostatic sensitive devices. This lets your employees know to take the proper precautions to avoid damaging the device.

Store it Safe

When youíre working with chemicals, you have to be aware of the properties of not only the chemical in question but also the ones that will be stored next to it. Even if a compound isnít explosive or flammable on its own, it may be when itís mixed with other substances. Storing your hazardous liquids and other materials in fireproof cabinets ensures the rest of your facility will be safe in the event of a fire inside the cabinet.

Business owners should be concerned with safety not only for the wellbeing of their employees but their business as well. At Waveroom Plus, we prioritize safety and offer a variety of safety equipment to cater to the needs of all our customers.
