Description

The 999-705 is a Pre-Heater Rework Flux Shield. This flux shield is designed for use with the FR-870B and C5016 Pre-Heater Units. The 999-705 is a "Black" ceramic glass, constructed to withstand extremely high temperatures without the risk of cracking or shattering. This glass is designed to sit directly over the heating area of a Pre-heater. The shield features rubber feet which prevents the glass from sliding around during use. The 999-705 can be used in conjunction with the pre-heaters existing board holders and acts as a shield from any solder and/or flux that can potentially drop onto the heater lamps. An operator can also mount the rework piece directly onto the glass for applications that are difficult to mount using the existing board holders.

*Operators may experience a slight decrease in heating efficiency when using the glass in conjunction with existing board holders. However, higher temperatures are achieved when the work is mounted directly on the top of the glass.
